Overview of ABC Trek

This 13-day journey blends Nepal’s cultural richness with the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayas. The adventure begins in Kathmandu (approximately 1,400 meters), where you’ll explore iconic heritage sites like Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square while preparing for the trek ahead. From there, a scenic drive leads to Pokhara (about 820 meters), a peaceful lakeside city nestled beneath the Annapurna range. The trekking begins at Nayapul (1,070 meters) and leads you through charming villages like Ghandruk (2,012 meters) and Chhomrong (2,170 meters), where you’ll encounter the warm hospitality of the Gurung people and get a glimpse into their traditional mountain lifestyle.

As you move deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary, each day brings a new landscape — lush forests, rhododendron trails, river crossings, and dramatic cliffs. The trail gradually ascends to the serene and majestic Annapurna Base Camp at 4,130 meters, where snow-capped giants like Machhapuchhre, Annapurna I, and Hiunchuli tower above.

The peacefulness and raw grandeur of the base camp offer a humbling and spiritual reward. After the descent, you’ll return to Pokhara to relax by Phewa Lake, unwind with a massage, or enjoy a quiet café view.
